Luckily, I am not actually wearing a scarf of snow, can you imagine how miserable that would be? Indianapolis got a bit of a snowfall last night (weather report says about 3 inches of snow), and The Fiancé and I luckily both were already taking a day off work to spend a “day date” together. I thought I would incorporate this bright scarf to a.) keep in line with my Five for Friday scarf theme this week, b.) to provide a bit of bright colors to the dreary scenery, and c.) to help me stay warm as we’ll be walking around downtown.

We’ve had our bagels from Einstein Bagels for breakfast and dropped my car off to get its oil change (being an adult is so glamorous), and now, we are headed downtown to take in the holiday decorations, visit the Eiteljorg Museum, and try the legendary (and very fiery) shrimp cocktail from St. Elmo’s Steakhouse. Hopefully, I’ll be able to snag some photos and can post the details of the trip on this blog!

Stay warm out there, folks!

  • Sweater: Old Navy (exact)
  • Jeans: Denizen, Target (exact)
  • Duck boots: L.L. Bean (got mine thrifting for $25, but exact)

  • This is a super adorable outfit!

I actually asked “Santa Mama” for duck boots for Christmas! Not sure I’d be lucky enough to find authentic ones by thrifting, but it’s someone else’s $ being spent on new ones, so that’s ok, right?

    • It’s completely okay, and I hope “Santa Mama” comes through! I love that and LOL’ed at it! Fingers crossed for the boots!
