Target Haul, Vol. 5

*Another feature that I am going to start on the blog is Target Hauls. Basically, I love to read when other people go and buy stuff, so I thought some of you might be interested to see the latest and greatest finds that I have gotten from Target.

Black and brown. Black and brown (to the tune of “Black and Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa, though probably not as catchy). I’m a huge fan of fixing color combinations that aren’t suppose to be mixed (black and navy in my wedding colors for example), and this Target Haul is no different. Black and brown are such classics and great for working with other colors without competing too much.

These two items were purchased before my self-imposed shopping ban, and just came in the mail on Friday afternoon. Still following the rules, folks! I have another order from Target coming before Christmas too, but this one was also ordered before the ban was put in place.

This dress is super cute and seems like in would work in several environments. I love the almost rose gold belt that comes with it, and the almost ponte material that it is made of it very nice. However, I have to warn you other tall ladies (I’m 5’9″ for reference), it runs a little short. Should have trusted the reviews on this one, Katie! Tights are going to have to be worked into this look, I think. Coincidentally, this dress also comes in a navy and black combo, do I know fashion trends or what?

These shoes are the Sam & Libby brand, and I haven’t tried out anything from that line before. These were on clearance, and I have very few patterned and fun shoes, so I thought, why not? They are not what I expected at all. The design is printed on almost canvas, and I was definitely expecting almost embroidery on the shoe. I’m okay with it, but thought I would mention it, just in case anyone was thinking the same thing! They fit perfectly in a size 9.5 and would definitely go great with skirts and shorts!

I think these two would look great together, but that will have to wait until spring-like weather. What do you think of this brown and black color mixing?

I’ve always loved loved love the classic “camel & black” look on men but love your take on it for women WAY more. Were there other dresses on Target’s website similar to these? Loving the cut of this–especially for a “fuller figured” girl like myself.
