What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 44 – Approaching Fall (Gap)

Approaching Fall (w/ Gap!)

Approaching Fall (w/ Gap!) by styleontarget

*“What I Wish I Wore Wednesday” utilizes Polyvore to show you an outfit with some Target items to communicate what I wish I was wearing on this Wednesday and just how easy it is to look cute on a budget.

As opposed to last week, this week’s What I Wish I Wore Wednesday is actually occurring on a Wednesday, because I’ve learned the days of the week! (slow clap, please).

I’m all about planning for my Fall Capsule Collection right now, and I am working on creating as many looks as possible from about 44 items of clothing and shoes (for both work and play). This means that accessories and outerwear have to come into play…especially to keep things interesting.

How boring would this t-shirt and jeans combo be on its own? Zzzzzzz. But by pairing it with contrasting colors, patterns, and a little bit of texture, you have a cool, fashionable look. Booyah.

Items from the Look:

  • Gap Colorblocked Tee
  • Gap Dark Rinse Skinny Jeans
  • Merona Geometric Patterned Scarf (I mean this is gorgeous!)
  • Mossimo Brown Felt Hat (I’m all about the hats this season)
  • Merona Faux Suede Dark Red Clutch
  • Mossimo Supply Co. Fringe Black Ankle Boots

ps. Gap did not sponsor this post. I am not a fan of the new Target.com images (always have the people in them instead of just the product), so until they change that for the clothes, I’m only going to showcase Target accessories and will feature other budget clothing items here.

I love the nice peachy color of the shirt against the dark wash of the jeans. I also really like the jeans, which is weird.

I love that hat! I’m a sucker for them when I see them on other people’s blogs. I haven’t gotten one yet because I wear my hair in top knots too often to justify a hat purchase!

    • Ahhhh. Definitely worth a try on one day when you aren’t wearing a top knot! I actually ended up buying one similar to this in Denver….from Target. Let’s call it my souvenir, shall we? ;)

  • Love that colorblocked shirt!

  • I was impressed with Gap’s offerings this fall though. I purchased a few items so far and plan to return next month since I’ve reserved capsule spots for said items. I’m not much of a hat person. I have one cute winter hat and a baseball cap. I wish I liked them more.

    • I think a lot of retailers are putting out strong fall collections…and I’m a-okay with that! Hats are definitely hit or miss, so I feel you!
