Like I mentioned in Friday’s post, The Husband and I went apple picking this weekend! We visited our local orchard (Tuttle Orchards), and it was so much fun! We were one of the first groups there, because I may or may not have wanted to be there when it was crisp and fall-like in the morning (not when it was 82 degrees in the afternoon…thanks Indiana), so that I could wear fall clothes.
There were four varieties of apples available (Johnathan, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, and Cortland), and we quickly determined that we only liked Johnathan and Golden Delicious. We picked an $8 bag of these pretty quickly (what can I say, we’re naturals). We also ate apple donuts, which was a game changer.
We spent a fun hour there, and then headed home. It took us about two hours to determine that we ABSOLUTELY had to have an apple dessert, so I Googled some easy apple recipes and landed on this apple crisp recipe. OMG. Sooooo good and so easy. Highly recommended!
Have you ever been apple picking?!
