Fall Capsule #1: September Outfits

instagramcapsule

Fifteen days ago, I started my first Fall Capsule Challenge. I wanted an easy way to reflect on what outfits I had worn and what pieces I had utilized, so I thought a recap post might be a good way to do that. This way I can see what’s working and what’s not, and you can have a concise post of the outfits (in case you didn’t want to read my everyday ramblings and just wanted the looks)!

Here. We. Go…

  • Most Worn Item (besides jeans): black heels, chambray shirt, and black jeans (ps. these made a good outfit today!)
  • Least Worn Item: several of my sweaters have yet to be worn, along with all my bottoms/dresses that aren’t my leather skirt, gray jeans, black jeans, and skinny jeans
  • Favorite Outfit: #3
  • Honorable Mentions: #1, #8, and #12
  • Least Favorite Outfit: #4 (too boring for me, it needs something else)

I’m excited to see what my October outfits will turn out to be! What was your favorite and/or least favorite outfit from above (I’m actually really curious!)?

Linking up with the lovely Anne and Jacq for their capsule linkup!

  • These all look great. I think my favorite is #6. I just love that vest and have been so tempted by the white one. I actually really like #4, but I always love the preppy look and the bag adds a nice touch.

I like the visual recap. It’s nice to see them side by side. Outfits 1, 8 are my favorites.

  • Love that you put together a recap post – it is indeed a great idea to assess what you’ve been wearing most/least and what’s been working. At this point who would even know that you’re working with a limited wardrobe, you’ve got such a great variety here. Still love #1 a lot, and #3 & #6 are so fall perfection (also makes me wish I could pull off a hat!). I have several items I haven’t worn yet too – actually a surprising number, after a whole month. Clearly that means that even with a minimal wardrobe, there’s still PLENTY in my closet. Good to know :)

Thanks for linking with us! Been loving your posts.

    • Thanks so much, Anne. And thanks for organizing the link up, it has been so much fun to see everyone’s looks!

  • Katy B

First off, I’m really excited that our capsule wardrobes have tons of pieces in common. It makes it very easy to get dressed each day! I think that so far, my favorite is outfit #12. I just love the simplicity of it and I love how it looks so dressed up because of the clutch despite being denim on denim. Can’t wait to see what October brings!

    • Thanks so much, Katy. I definitely love the ease of getting dressed each day (especially since I just got through my few items the night before and pick out a look).
