What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 62 – Baby You’re So Classic

So Classic
*“What I Wish I Wore Wednesday” utilizes Polyvore to show you an outfit with some Target items to communicate what I wish I was wearing on this Wednesday and just how easy it is to look cute on a budget.

Outerwear. Let’s talk about it for a second, okay?

I made a big deal of focusing on adding new outerwear pieces to my closet this year and figuring out which older ones I wanted to keep (or give away). I’m at the point where I have a nice usable collection.

Too bad Mother Nature doesn’t care about that here in the Midwest. It’s been so cold the past week that all I have been doing is piling on my warmest clothing items and sticking my giant Eddie Bauer puffer coat on top of it all before I head out the door (away from my cozy home and tons of blankets).  Here’s hoping that soon the temperatures will increase, and I will be able to break out all those other coats that are patiently waiting to be worn.

In the meantime, here’s a look with a whole bunch of classic pieces that I Wish It Was Warm Enough to Wear (you know, the new name of this series)!

Items from the Look:

  • Dorothy Perkins Red Duffle Coat
  • Mossimo Supply Co. White Tee
  • Merona Black Speckled Infinity Scarf
  • Merona Black Tie Hat
  • Denizen Skinny Jeans
  • Merona Beige/Black Bow Purse (I am waiting for a sale and then buying this!)
  • Sam & Libby Black Ankle Boots

  • Always love a red coat! But yes, I keep putting my biggest puffy coat over everything (looks fairly comical with dresses) – cute coats will have to wait a few more days.

  • “I wish it was warm enough to wear.” LOL! I’ve been loving your snow pictures though. I understand it’s completely different living in it than seeing it. A red coat is totally classic. I 100% agree.
