What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 66 – Happy Meow-entine’s Day

Meow-entine's Day
*“What I Wish I Wore Wednesday” utilizes Polyvore to show you an outfit with some Target items to communicate what I wish I was wearing on this Wednesday and just how easy it is to look cute on a budget.

Hey, did you guys know that Valentine’s Day is coming up? Bet you didn’t with all the pink and red in stores and the candy aisle at your local grocery store overflowing with chocolate.

But after spending a night with my lovely Indy style blogger friends last night (our version of Gal-entine’s Day involved wine…lots of it), I’ve reaffirmed my belief that Valentine’s Day is just a nice reminder to tell people that you love them and enjoy spending time with them. Not just your significant other, but your family members, friends, and dear, dear blog friends.

And the best way I know how to say “I cherish you” on a style blog? Two words…cat. watch. ;)

You’re welcome, and if you’re like me and just grabbing tacos with your husband/significant other/best friend/dog, this would be a cute and festive look to go with, but still not scream “Happy Valentine’s Day!” Some other sweater options, that aren’t pink, include this one and this one!

Items from the Look:

  • ModCloth Peter Pan Collar Top (Yes, it’s pink, and yes, I would wear it. Gasp!)
  • Denizen Skinny Jeans
  • Xhilaration Cat Face Watch (ummm under $15? I want.)
  • Merona Leopard Print Belt
  • Merona Black Envelope Purse
  • Merona Burgundy Suede Pumps

  • Kaci

Love the top – it instantly made me think of Moonrise Kingdom!

  • Mattie Roush

I have those pumps and love them! And seeing the gray flannel so cheap is tempting… I also really want the leopard to go on sale (but they’d have to restock my size first!). Three colors of one shoe isn’t excessive, right?!

  • Alison @ Peacoat Diaries

I’m in love with those Meg pumps! And that little envelope bag is pretty great — Target doesn’t usually do evening bags that well, but this one is pretty chic. I see a Target order in my future…
