June 2015 Budget

June, June, June. You’ve been swell with a birthday (and presents!), vacation, and all, but I still managed to spend some all of my money!

Birthday Presents to Me (From Me)
+ Loft Split Henley Solid Shell (exact – I got it in navy and yellow)
+ Loft Split Henley Stripe Shell (exact – seriously…one of the best shirts ever!)
+ Loft Gingham Print Shorts (exact)
+ Loft Gingham Print Pants (exact – yes I have a gingham problem)
+ Sole Society Yellow Suede Pumps (exact – these haven’t arrived yet, so not sure whether I am keeping or not)

Treat yo self! That’s what Parks and Rec says (here), and that show is based in Indiana, so I have to follow it right? And apparently June means gingham and Loft in my eyes.

In addition to that, a steady diet of blue/white/black patterns and minor other pops of color made up this month’s “traditional” budget. I’ve already worn a majority of these items, especially that Loft circle skirt! It has gotten a workout lately, since it came to the Pacific Northwest with us, and I wore it constantly.

I tried on several other things this month (specifically this chambray shell and this chambray dress from Loft) that I didn’t love at all. I thought the chambray dress was going to be like my beloved gingham birthday dress, but it was not at all. I also tried this swing dress from Old Navy, and let’s just say, I knew it wasn’t for my body type, but at least I tried?

I didn’t really pay attention to my June wishes noted in last month’s budget post, so I’m still on the lookout for some black/white stripe shorts (since the J.Crew Factory ones didn’t pan out) and some more tanks/tees for the hot summer months to come. I still really need to add to my 2015 Wishlist, as I feel like my style/wants have changed slightly since January, but I feel like I’m really on track with developing my style/wardrobe, which is a great feeling.

How did you do this month on your budget? I’m linking up with Franish’s Budgeting Bloggers, and you should too!

  • I love that jacket! The white and black look is so classic.

  • Jessica

Your June budget treated you well! I’m sure the $10 over budget didn’t break the bank! You got some amazing items! That black and white jacket is really hot right now.

  • Love the striped Uniqlo dress! It looks like it would be really easy to just throw on and go. I’m well under budget this month personally. For some reason I didn’t do any birthday shopping for myself. Normally I do, but this year I just had no interest.

Happy belated birthday as well :)

  • So many cute items! I think my favorite is the collarless jacket–you could really style that for any season! I hope the yellow heels work out–I just clicked over, and they’re so pretty!

  • That collarless jacket is gorgeous. If it was a computer glitch, it was one heck of one! You’ll have that for years.

I bought that AT collarless jacket as well but I did NOT get it for $33! It is a gorgeous jacket and I love it (even if I overpaid!). I had a very black and white month too — you found some great pieces, and belated happy birthday!
