Target That Look: Fearne Cotton

ttlfearnecotton Every Monday, in the Target That Look feature, I will try to pick a celebrity look that I like and show you how you can get all the necessary pieces from your local Target for much, much less.

I actually don’t know who Fearne Cotton is. A quick Google search reveals that she is an English radio and television presenter, but really all that matters is how flawlessly she mixed navy and black in this ensemble.

It’s not an easy feat to accomplish, as the balance of the two colors is usually key, and Fearne definitely succeeds here with her mix. I can’t wait to copy this look (though I’ll have to opt for a red beanie…eww pink/coral/magenta) to help me get through the winter while I’m wishing for spring!

I’ve actually had this photo in a folder forever, just waiting for a pink moto jacket to arrive at Target. Well, guess what? Today is your lucky day, because the pink moto jacket has arrived at Target.com!

I’ve talked in the past about how I’m not a huge fan of pink, but I love how Emmy took a whole bunch of classic pieces and added that “wow factor” with her pink moto jacket. I’d definitely like to do the same thing, but with a cobalt blue or red moto jacket! ;)

Target That Look: Emma Stone

ttlemmastone Every Monday, in the Target That Look feature, I will try to pick a celebrity look that I like and show you how you can get all the necessary pieces from your local Target for much, much less.

1.) Check out how AMAZING Emma Stone looked at the Golden Globes last weekend. Girl knows how to work a pair of pants. B and I watched Fashion Police on E! last Tuesday (during our weekly girl date where we just hang out in comfy clothes and watch trashy TV, real classy…and FUN!). Emma was considered best dressed of the night by both Kelly and Brad. B and I agreed and couldn’t stop fangirling.

2.) How unfair is it that Emma looks as good in fancy clothes as she does in street clothes? I’m just a big fan of how everything just seems so effortless on her. I’m trying to work to incorporate that more in my everyday looks (it’s a constant struggle)!

Target That Look:

  1. Mossimo High Waisted Skinny Jeans (these have GREAT reviews!)
  2. Merona Metallic Stripe Scarf
  3. Women’s Clubmaster Sunglasses (loooove these!)
  4. Mossimo Mauve/Purple Pullover Sweater (on sale!)

Target That Look: Selena Gomez

ttlselenagomez Every Monday, in the Target That Look feature, I will try to pick a celebrity look that I like and show you how you can get all the necessary pieces from your local Target for much, much less.

Yes, the Target That Look series continues (thanks for being understanding last week when I didn’t have time to pull one together)!

I think I’ve finally started realizing while all these celebrity looks are so attainable (on a budget that is). They start with basics (gray tee, leather jacket) and add in some interest with a few, well-fitted pieces (zipper pocket pants, oversized scarf).

Selena killed it here with that formula, and I know I definitely don’t look that good while drinking a can of Country Time lemonade (though The Husband did receive a SodaStream for Christmas, so I can definitely start practicing my lemonade poses)!

Here’s to a New Year of basic looks that aren’t basic!

Target That Look:

  1. Mossimo Supply Co. Gray Crew Tee (these are super soft and perfect for everyday tees!)
  2. Limited Edition Oversized Gray Scarf
  3. Xhilaration Black Faux Leather Jacket
  4. XOXO Black Zipper Legging Pants
  5. SodaStream Country Time Lemonade Mix
  6. Xhilaration Black Loafer Flats (or check out these with chain embroidery!)
  7. Merona Peach Bow Crossbody Purse (bonus item, because I thought Selena’s outfit needed a pop of color!)

Target That Look: Blake Lively

Somehow, celebrities look so great in neutrals. It’s really not fair.

I usually need to have a print (or two or three) to consider an outfit “made”, but maybe in 2015, I’ll take a page out of Blake Lively’s book and see how great neutrals can be.

ps. This is like the first celebrity look I’ve done without sunglasses. Go Blake go!
