Spotted: Old Navy and Gap (and Banana Republic) No Exclusions Sale!

no exclusions sale gap and old navy; Style On Target blog

Well hellllloooooo there, spring. So good to see you!

The spring weather may have been GREAT this weekend, but the spring styles and prices  in today’s sale MIGHT be better! Because apparently the Gap family of brands (Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic) are throwing out the rules and doing a sale that they’ve never done before. Aka 40% off everything with no exclusions!

That means Pixie pants (here) are included in the sale…which never happens. That also mean Gap jeans (here) are included in the sale…which also NEVER EVER happens! Oh…and everything else! And you have under 24 hours to take advantage…and if the sale wasn’t good enough already, you get free 2-day shipping too. Just use the code SPRING when you go to checkout, and tell ’em Style On Target sent you!

Just kidding on that last part, but the code will work!. ;)

Since Old Navy and Gap are in my normal price points, I’ve picked my favorite current pieces from each place and laid them out for you below, but don’t forget that the sale includes Banana Republic too!

First up is Old Navy, who really is just KILLING it lately. I ordered a few pairs of Pixie pants for work, these leopard print pumps (here – just to check the quality), and this super pretty dress (here) that I plan to live in this spring/summer. Check out the rest of my favorites below!

Old Navy Top Picks

And while I haven’t shopped at Gap lately, I love their recent turnaround in style. It’s almost like Old Navy is trying to appeal to the fun J.Crew lovers, while Gap is tackling the Madewell crowd. As for me, I’m into both style genres, so bring it on!

I love theme parties, so it’s no surprise that I’m alllllll about theme weeks here at Style On Target (ummm “Red, White, and Blue Week” anyone?).

So in case you too like themes, I thought it would be fun to continue those theme weeks here from time to time, and this time it’s in the form of an article of clothing that we all know and love.

The striped tee!

More specifically, these striped boatneck tees from Target. So for this week’s four outfits, I’ll be wearing the same stripe tee (though in different colors) to show you just how far a striped tee can go!

First up, this fall work look: ankle pants + stripe tee + comfy, cozy tie cardigan. It’s practically pajamas…but for work. Winning.

How far can your stripe tee go!?

One of the best parts of blogging (besides interacting with all of YOU and being able to justify my spending to The Husband) is interacting with other bloggers! It’s so nice to be able to support and encourage each other even though most of us live in complete different states and have never met in person (except, you know…when you live in the same city…heeeeeey Sarah…more cake dates please)!

One of the bloggers that I regularly girl crush over is Nicole from Writes Like a Girl . You’ve probably seen me link to her over and over again, but she really is a breath of fresh air. We regularly exchange gushing, supportive comments for each other on social media, get excited for each other’s blogging victories, and now I’m stealing her outfit combos on a regular basis! ;)

Nicole paired her look (here) with a black hat and fringe ankle boots, which would perfect for the weekend, but the combination of a gray tee, black blazer, simple-but-interesting necklace, and red skirt works equally well for the office with black heels (and sadly, no hat!). So thanks for making an early morning what-to-wear-to-work battle easy, Nicole, by letting me steal this look (and for inspiring the purchase of this skirt)!

ps. Would this maybe a monthly feature you guys would like to see? Aka watch me steal an awesome outfit from another blogger while giving them credit and putting my own spin on it? Let me know!

Ten Things I’ve Loved This Past Week on The Internet:

  1. The most beautiful white eyelet dress for under $50? The award most definitely goes this beauty from Uniqlo (and it also comes in navy and black too)!
  2. Blogger love of the week: I love an outfit that comes together from closet staples, and this look from Jess is not exception! I just need a polka dot skirt, and then you better believe that I’ll be copying this one!
  3. If you’ve been looking for a navy/white stripe dress to wear all spring and summer long, then look no more. This one is perfection (and reminds me a lot of mine from Talbots from this post)! And it comes in pink too (here) for those of you who are into that sort of thing! ;)
  4. I loved this open love letter to Loft. Because that store always reminds me of shopping trips with my mom, and it definitely has been there for me (first job apparel, what what!) and is still one of my favorite places to shop!
  5. Want tips on how to keep your makeup fresh all day long? I know I do! Be sure to check out Fran’s blog post on making your makeup last for a full work day!
  6. I love the subtle little ruffle on this work appropriate button down blouse. Perfect for pairing with your favorite skirt for an easy spring/summer outfit!
  7. For the love of Indiana, someone please teach Michael Buble how to eat a ear of corn. I seriously laughed out loud when I first saw the photo!
  8. How about a navy sailboat print cardigan to get you feeling all kinds of nautical this season? It would pair beautifully with the navy/white stripe dress mentioned above!
  9. The new Lumineers album (here) is AMAZING! I’ve been listening to it on repeat for the last 1.5 weeks since it came out. Now if only their concert here in Indy, didn’t sell out!
  10. I’m obsessed with this tan leather/striped crossbody purse. It’s the perfect piece for all seasons and all outfits! And then Fossil had to go ahead and make this leather/straw one too! Decisions, decisions!
