Ten Things I’ve Loved This Past Week on The Internet:

  1. This straw tote is perfectly on trend for spring and summer. And I need to get my hands on it!
  2. Blogger love of the week: Jess is looking so pretty in these polka dots that it is making me want to pull out my white jeans…and dunk myself in a vat of stain protector! ;)
  3. The prettiest floral print top for work or weekend!
  4. And the prettiest pastel-colored necklaces to pair with it! And since it under $20, you could easily justify buying all three! ;)
  5. Did you guys see Target’s new swimsuit ads? They’re completely unretouched in terms of Photoshop/ So refreshing and real! Here’s to more companies empowering women!
  6. Another day, another gingham skirt to link to. This one might be sitting in my shopping cart waiting for me to press “confirm order”. ;) Also loving this stripe version from the same brand!
  7. Spring shoes for every spring event and budget!
  8. These beach accessories make up the cutest collection ever…just in time for spring break and summer vacations!
  9. The cutest Beauty and the Beast interview ever.
  10. Why are all the embroidered espadrilles sooooo stinkin’ cute? Like these guys!

Fall Capsule #1: Graphic Tee and Plaid

DSC077741DSC077841DSC077751DSC077811DSC077791DSC077801

This was my runner up outfit to wear to the Wolverine Fashion Night Out event. You know those events where nothing in your closet seems and on top of that, you’re working with your Capsule wardrobe. So you’re trying every single one of those 44 items on and they’re all over your closet floor.

Or is that just me?

But in the end, that darn super soft plaid scarf beat out this plaid skirt. And I didn’t want to get kicked out of the state of Michigan by wearing my Indiana Home T!

But this look would also be great for a creative office, because the plaid pencil skirt keeps it classy, and the pop of red and the graphic tee keeps it quirky casual.

What would you wear to a blog/brand event?

ps. Weird question, but it’s driving me crazy…A million and one new visitors came from a Facebook link yesterday. I’m so happy to have you all, but can any of you tell me what awesome person/group linked to this site? Thanks!

Cool girl at a wedding alert. At least, that’s what I was going for with this look recently at a wedding for a friend of The Husband’s. I knew only the bride and groom and one other couple at this wedding and wasn’t sure how it was all going to go down. Except I knew the venue, since it was actually at the same place that we had our wedding (reminder to self: post wedding photos on blog).

This outfit worked, worked, and worked! And these Target classic heeled sandals? Perfect for 7 hours of dancing, climbing stairs, and walking around the large venue (and it was the first time I have worn them – this NEVER happens)! I’m going to have to get the cognac colored ones next!
