Ten Things I’ve Loved This Past Week on The Internet:

  1. Gingham trench coat? On sale? Say what?
  2. Blogger love of the week: I love seeing people give back, so I loved reading about how Jess shared some of her time (and styling tips, I’m sure!) with this Chicago-based organization that works to provide free clothing and self-esteem to girls enrolled in Chicago’s inner city schools. You go, Jess!
  3. Loft sold a similar pair of these beautiful stripe espadrilles last season, and they sold out so fast! They’re one of my favorite spring/summer shoes, so get them while they’re still in stock!
  4. I could not stop laughing at this Buzzfeed article called “me as a wife.” Mainly because I could related to nearly 100% of them, but oh my gosh. The last one (#19) is me to a T. I pride myself on my annoying capabilities.
  5. Do you guys ever watch those HGTV or TLC shows where they buy these terrible houses and then turn them into masterpieces. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do that (and have no skills whatsoever in that department) and wondered exactly how much work goes into it. Anyone else? Luckily for us, Cassandra is spilling the beans (here) on The Everygirl!
  6. I need to try on this dress on the next time I’m at Target to see if it would be long enough. If it works, it would look equally great under blazers for the office and jean jackets for the weekend!
  7. A new episode of Miss Adventure from Kate Spade is out! I need to plan a girls’ weekend like this…and accessorize the entire time with Kate Spade! ;) Anyone else in?
  8. I’m loving how classic, but different than every-other-navy-blazer-ever, this blazer from Maison Jules is (here). I know that didn’t make ANY sense, but you should check it out if you like nautical/prep style and/or need a navy blazer! ;)
  9. Pantone (everyone’s favorite color obsessor) has put together a list of the top 10 colors for spring 2016. I know, I know…everyone is so surprised that I’ll be wearing Snorkel Blue and Fiesta all spring…and really, all year, long!
  10. Everyone has been obsessed with the J.Crew Gemma ballet flats this season (see them here), and they’re a bit pricey, so I found a great dupe for under $40 here! They come in lots of colors and one pretty floral print!

On Trend: Gingham Gang

on trend gingham gang, spring 2016

Oh gingham, the print of spring (and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz…she knew what was on trend even then!). Nothing is so fresh and crisp!

Plus, if Kate Middleton is wearing it (see here), it has the approval of a future queen!

I was putting this post together one night last week, and I was surprised how many great gingham pieces are out there this season (and I didn’t even have room to include these espadrille wedges!)! And I’d like one of them all!

So who’s game to join my gingham girl gang? Taking applications now!

  1. Merona Gingham Print Plaid Shirt
  2. J.Crew Factory Gingham Print Scarf
  3. J.Crew Gingham Plaid Vest
  4. Sole Society Navy/White Gingham Heels
  5. Merona Gingham Print and Crochet Lace Tote Purse
  6. J.Crew Gingham Ankle Pants
  7. Tommy Hilfiger Gingham Print Cardigan
  8. Keds Gingham Print Sneakers

ps. If you want even MORE gingham…J.Crew’s got it for you. Extreme amounts of gingham (here)!

Ten Things I’ve Loved This Past Week on The Internet:

  1. I love nearly every shoe that Sole Society puts out (cough…the ones I’m wearing today are from there…cough), and I have an unhealthy obsession with ankle boots, so it’s not surprising that I love their new ankle boots (and would like it in every color, please)!
  2. Blogger love of the week: Obsessing over this stripe/floral print mixing outfit from Kendi! If mixing prints is wrong, then I don’t want to be right! ;)
  3. This scallop belt is one of the cutest apparel items that I have seen lately! Perfect for tucked in work shirts and slacks (does anyone use that word anymore?)! It also comes in silver and gold here.
  4. Did you all hear about the new designer launch at Target? You can catch Marimekko coming to Target (online and in stores) on April 17! I love all the graphic prints (get a sneak peek here) and can’t wait to get my hands on the lookbook to scoop out what I want to buy from the collection!
  5. The new photos of the Cambridge family (William, Kate, George, and Charlotte) are the CUTEST!
  6. If you’ve been looking for a great dupe for the Chloe Faye purse (see it here…and try not to shudder at the price), then this is a way more affordable option…for a tiny fracture of the price!
  7. Reason #231 I love Tommy Hilfiger? Not a clothing item this week, just good old philanthropic goodwill. Check out the collection of adjustable clothing that the Tommy Hilfiger design team put together for children with different disabilities. How amazing is this?
  8. I love this perfect-for-spring look featuring print mixing! I usually go for print/patterned piece on my top and a solid colored bottom piece (pants/skirts/shorts), but I love the idea of flipping it and adding in a pattern heel!
  9. 26 tweets that married people will 100% get. Is it bad that I’ve been married for nearly 2 years and can related to almost ALL of these?
  10. How do you choose between these navy and white stripe loafers and these navy with white trim loafers? Asking for a friend…
  11. BONUS: I’m sure this blog on style and budget fashion is his go-to, daily read, but shoutout to the greatest quarterback ever, Peyton Manning, on his retirement. I’ll miss you, Peyton!

Ten Things I’ve Loved This Past Week on The Internet:

  1. I want all of the new winter arrivals from Talbots (here), but I don’t have enough money, so I’ll “settle” for this buffalo plaid vest and these red/navy polka dot loafers!
  2. Blogger love of the week: Doesn’t Rachel look GORGEOUS in her stripes and plaid combo? Pinning this one right now!
  3. I’m sorry, Loft…are there tiny little acorns on this shirt? I need. Guaranteed to increase your fall street cred with the squirrels! ;)
  4. I may have discovered the best/most dangerous website ever. You all know that I love dogs right? I have one (Cooper) and if I wasn’t married, I’d probably have like 5-10 more. A new website, Paws Like Me, has you answer a personality style question and then matches you with a rescue dog that needs adopting! What a great idea…now to convince The Husband that we need another dog!
  5. Since I’ve wrapped up my Europe travel posts and have enjoyed enough time at home on my couch, I figured we could all use 5 books that will inspire further travelust. Check out The Everygirl’s list here. Road trip, anyone?
  6. It’s not too soon to start thinking about New Year’s Eve outfits, right? Well, if not, then these silver kitten heels should be at the TOP of your last. Plus, they’d be super fun at Christmas parties and even Thanksgiving (when you bring your nicest silver out ;))!
  7. I love love love the Miss Adventure Kate Spade videos with Anna Kendrick, and there’s a new one out! This one is holiday themed and features Zosia Mamet (from Girls) too!
  8. Stop the presses, this winter coat from JCPenney is almost an exact dupe of the J.Crew Chateau Coat (here) and the J.Crew Factory Vail Coat (here) that was all the top bloggers’ favorite last year! Snag it for almost under $100!
  9. For your fall viewing pleasure, I give you this adorable pup video…and a whole bunch of leaves! Disclosure: I may have watched this about 15 times…so cute!
  10. It’s official. Tommy Hilfiger knows me too well…a whimsical fox graphic sweater? That plus the dog/leaf video up there just ended this post on cuteness overload!

Orange You Glad…

DSC085781DSC085841DSC085621DSC085711DSC085651foxcollegeDSC085581DSC085801

…that I didn’t make another fox joke? ;) It’s really because I’ve temporarily run out of them, but don’t worry too much. I’m sure they’re not gone forever.

You know what else is pretty impressive (besides my dad-joke skills)? This is Style On Target’s 1,000th post!

Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!

So to everyone who’s read all 1,000 posts (thanks Mom) or even 100, 10, or just this one, thanks for joining my chunk of the internet and letting me (hopefully) entertain you with my ramblings and musings. I’m lucky to have such a great bunch of followers!

So here’s to 1,000 more posts that feed your/my love for Target and maybe 100 more fox puns? ;)
