I mean what other cherry pun was I going to use for the title of the first post featuring this fun cherry graphic print dress?
No, but seriously…do you know any others that I should use in the future? Submissions are being accepted. Dad jokes accepted here. ;)
Missed opportunity: not posing for these outfit photos with a glass of lemonade. What kind of style blogger am I? One that apparently doesn’t pose with glasses of lemonade. Just cupcakes…but only on blog anniversaries.
And now that I’ve made you all thirsty (and possibly craving a cupcake)…let’s get back to the reason you’re all here…my clothes.
I wasn’t convinced about this skirt and still am not obsessed about the length (it clearly shortens my legs), but I love love love the print. And that, plus a 50% off sale, convinced me that that was enough to purchase it and keep it!
I think it will be surprisingly versatile given the skirt features three different colors (yellow, green, and blue), so those colors, plus a variety of neutrals will allow this skirt to be wore again.
Plus, I heard you can wear it with or without a glass of lemonade! ;)
You guys! It’s Christmas week! Only a few more days of work to power through before we can be off of work and wake up to presents (and cinnamon rolls) on Friday! I got to celebrate Christmas a little bit early with The Husband’s family this past weekend, so I’m definitely in the Christmas mood! Anyone else ready?!
It’s also officially winter (today, according to my best friend, The Farmer’s Almanac), and I can only think of two good things related to that…layering and the days are going to start getting longer! Because you have to have a couple of things to help you get through the cold, right?
This outfit is one of my new favs (who knew that matching your layered shirt and ankle boots would be so effective), but in preparing it, I’ve hit a whole new low for blog title puns.
Because I’ve now resorted to making squirrel/acorn jokes over here….
Promise you’ll still be my friend? Or at least read my blog? Anyone? ;)

So you know how last week I mentioned that I was going to meet up with some local Indy fashion bloggers?
Well, it was a blast (and, yes, it is a week later, and I’m just now talking about…that happens here)! A completely delicious (thanks Delicia for your wonderful margaritas and guacamole) and hilarious night.
You know when you just click with people? It was like that, but times four (because that’s how many other ladies were there). We talked about the most random topics (example: benefits of living on the first or second floor of an apartment complex) and commiserated about taking blog photos in these freezing Midwest temperatures. I said last week how hard it is to make friends, and I’m delighted to start a friendship with these four lovely ladies!
So thanks Abby for organizing (and sharing our very fancy charcuterie plate, and thanks Sarah, Anne, and Cait for spending the evening with me!
Oh hello, winter.
After a quiet December, snow finally arrived here in Indianapolis.
The morning that these photos were taken, The Husband and I got up early (what adults we are!!) to shovel the snow and/or figure out how to use the snow blower my parents bought us for Christmas. It’s going great. I’m shoveling up a storm, Cooper (the dog) is romping around like it is his first time in snow (it’s not), and The Husband is trying to not suck up rocks and shoot them out towards our windows. Anyways, together we finish the driveway about 10 minutes before I normally leave for work (are we responsible or what?), and I go inside to warm up with a cup of coffee before leaving (so adult!). I look down about 30 seconds later, and there’s little drops of blood all over the kitchen floor…and all over our cream carpet! Ahhh!
Cooper had gotten a cut on his foot while at my parents’ home while they were babysitting him. They took him to the vet and got his foot all wrapped up (they’re really responsible grand-puppy-parents) and apparently the cut had reopened while he was running amok. Puppy parenting fail.
But needless to say, I hate snow, I hate winter…and I was late for work.
