Clover Green

Guys. Indianapolis got MORE snow this weekend. I’m spiraling into a winter slump (as if I wasn’t there already). I want bikes and hikes and eating outdoors. I want (nice) dog walks and iced coffees and regular shoes (read NOT boots). C’mon spring…you can do it.

I had a nice relaxing weekend (filled with some shopping, whoops!), which was good, because I think this was our last free weekend before the wedding. Where. Has. The. Time. Gone?

Linking up with DC in Style today!

Stripes with a Hint of Pink

This blazer is pretty much the greatest…think super thick ponte fabric with a perfect fit for the office (granted, the sizing does run small on this – beware). I had been wishing for a striped blazer for some time, because I’m obsessed with stripes, and this one is just perfect. I can’t wait to try it with jeans, skirts, and over a dress.

All the other fashion bloggers are having weeks worth of Valentine’s Day outfits with sweet, lovely, and romantic combinations of red, white, and pink. I can’t stomach that much pink (I’m a football-loving tomboy, remember), but I can do a hint of it in a sweet little belt, so that’s what I’ll do here on my blog. I think it adds a nice dainty little touch to this overall masculine outfit.

Maybe I will go pink and red crazy on Friday, but you’ll just have to stick around to see!

All Target, All the Time

Had to wear mostly black today, because I am still mourning the Broncos’s Super Bowl loss. Me and the entire state of Colorado. Kudos to the Seahwaks for an awesome game, and the city of Seattle for their very first Super Bowl win. Alas, now no more football until August/September. Sad face. Even though I am sure some of you are celebrating the end of it, and the return of your husband, boyfriend, and friends.

Today has FLOWN by, mostly because work was crazy busy. I also ate buffalo dip as part of my lunch. So, winning?

ps. All Target outfit today! It was bound to happen sometime! :)

Three Month Countdown

Yesterday marks exactly three months until The Fiance and I get married! Super exciting, but super anxiety-inducing too. There are just so many things to finalize still, and despite having a crazy dream about not having a hair stylist for the wedding…I still don’t have one. I’ve got a list made of things I still have to do, and while I’m slowly (read very very slowly) marking them off the list, I still have a lot to do.

Bright side? Our invitations (and all the parts) came in today, and I love the way everything looks together. And The Fiance said he likes these pants, which I scored at our local thrift shop on my day off this past Friday. He did not, however, like the fur vest I picked up on the same trip. So win/lose for him? Because both are staying! :)

The Cooper Show

Guys, I did not mean for this blog to turn into “watch me style items from Target while my dog photobombs every shot,” but apparently it has. Good thing Cooper’s cute right? It’s the one blue eye, one brown eye thing that really gets everyone going. He’s basically my not-so-little shadow about 95% of the time when I am at home. I go downstairs to get water. Cooper goes downstairs to watch me get water. I get up to move to the other room. Cooper gets up to go to the new room. It’s precious, mainly because I rescued this little guy in May 2012, and I am so glad that he lets me share my life and home with him (and my couch…he destroyed a hand-me-down couch at one point). So expect to see snippets of him around, because he pretty much owns this place…and my heart.

Today’s look was fairly easy to pull together at 6:15am. Apparently, hunter green + olive + black is easy for my mind to process that early. I love the key graphic print on this sweater and think that it works well (last seen here) paired with this blazer that my parents got me for Christmas. I think the mix of the greens works well…how about you?

ps. Follow Cooper’s blog with Bloglovin. Just kidding…it is still mine.
