Here’s To You, Red and Blue!

Let’s talk about how this is a pretty simple outfit for work that almost anyone can pull off: skirt + patterned sweater + heels. A-line skirts flatter almost everyone, and the addition of the penny loafer heels keep it business casual and appropriate for nearly any office. The kicker for me in this outfit is the pattern of the sweater: a fun geometric print that’s not too busy AND is in my absolutely favorite color combinations (red and blue)!

We CAN also talk about how I went to ModCloth to look for some similar red/blue print sweaters, and I wanted to order everything and anything there. Specifically, this bag (I mean how perfect are those stripes!) and every single dress there…okay maybe not the pink ones.

Have you ever bought anything from ModCloth?! Any feedback?

ps. Apparently, Birkenstock-style sandals are ahit or miss trend. Some of you love them…and some of you hate them. Join the debate (check out yesterday’s post)!

Best Dressed Chambray Dress

How great is this dress? I mean…seriously. Flirty, fun, and classic, and I can imagine styling it in so many ways! The best part? It fits perfectly, because I “designed” it that way. Let me tell you more…

The day before my wedding, I got an offer from to do a product review for them. Holy cats, I was so EXCITED! There were so many great options to choose from on their website that I knew I had to choose something classic and versatile to make the most of this opportunity! This chambray dress stood out to me from the rest, and I just knew I had to have it.

The best part about in my opinion is that the dress can basically be made to fit you perfectly. You tell them your size (they provide similar measurements for the sizing) and your height (for the perfect length, can I get an amen from my tall and short friends!) for ideal sizing, and you can even take it a step further by doing item customization. Don’t want a sleeveless dress? Make it short-sleeved instead. Want a mini skirt, instead of below the knee? Okay, done. You can even remove embroidery or pockets (but seriously who doesn’t want pockets in dresses…they’re the best!). I personally wanted 3/4-length sleeves and right above the knee length skirt on this dress, and that’s exactly what I got!

I loved this dress so much already that I’m already stalking the eShakti website for my next purchase. Maybe this embroidered dress? Or this perfectly-me navy and white striped skirt?

If you are a new customer, you can get $25 off your first order by registering (whoot whoot!), and right now, it looks like there is a 30% off sale on most items too (through 5/4)! Definitely a brand worth checking out.

Make sure you check eShakti out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest too!

Paint the Town Red

Oh hey all…didn’t think I would leave you hanging for a week without some posts, did you? I’ll be blogging away this week just like normal, but I’ll just not really be able to respond to comments until later. You get outfits and deals now, and I get to respond later. Deal?

Funny thing about this look? It’s actually never been worn out (this is the first time that this has happened on this blog), but it is 100% something I would wear to hang out with friends or The Fiance The Mr. at a local bar or at a cool new restaurant downtown. This lace front sweater is perfect for those nights when you want to be a bit fancy, but don’t want to pull out a dress. Cool, but casual is always good with me.

Plus, these red heels and a classic bag always escalate a look. These heels were a Christmas present from my parents, and this DKNY quilted bag is almost Chanel-esque, but I found it at a local thrift store for $25. Mine. All mine. Two pieces in my closet that I absolutely love!
