Can you even with this skirt? Because I couldn’t.
I basically pulled it out of the J.Crew package when it arrived, put it on, pranced down to show The Husband, and proudly proclaimed it the Spring/Summer Skirt of 2017. So get ready to see it frequently.
The onnnnly bummer about this skirt is it is selling like crazy, and there seems to only be a few sizes left. I’d recommend checking with your local store to see if they have it in stock or watching the J.Crew site for pop-backs. Trust me, it’s worth it!
Because, as the title of the post indicates, I’m goo goo ga ga for this gingham skirt (and did I mention it has pockets!)! ;)
ps. Happy Birthday to my not-so-baby brother, R! Hope you have a fantastic day!
Today’s fun highlights:
- I’m all about the juxtapose of tough jackets with feminine dresses lately. Sassy and sweet…just the way my grandmas like me. ;)
- This week was a whirlwind of going-out events. Monday, the Indy bloggers got together at Punch Bowl Social, and it was super fun to catch up with everyone, meet some new folks, and get my bowl on!
- And then Wednesday, The Husband and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary with some leather gifts (third anniversary tradition, according to the internet…I got a stunning gray J.Crew purse that I’ll be sure to share soon) and a seafood dinner at Salt on Mass (not sure I would fully recommend it, Indy folks…though they did give us a free and delicious salted caramel brownie for dessert!). I’m a lucky lady (and a cheeseball for sure), but that husband of mine is a catch, and I’d marry him again in a heartbeat.
- And today I’m off work and running a million errands this weekend! Cooper to the vet for his yearly check, haircut for me, and dentist for me too (blech). But luckily I also get to see my mom for lunch…these are the perks when you still drive 2 hours to treat with your childhood dentist. Does anyone else still do this…or just me? ;)
Happy weekend, friends! What are you up to?
What do you do when your mother nicely hems a dress for you? You promptly manage to not featured it on the blog foooorrrr…I don’t know…maybe 8 months? #whoops
But look Mom, I’m wearing it now! ;)
This beautiful olive green dress used to be this maxi dress (last seen here). Though I loved the way it looked as a maxi dress (so Grecian, right?), I knew I would wear it much, much more once it was safely above my knees.
Because while these giraffe legs are great and all, they make lots of things difficult. Like walking (in general), but specifically walking while constricted by the fabric length of a beautiful maxi dress.
So Mom, olive you a lot for hemming this dress and saving me from myself/legs. Oh, and for about a billion other more important reasons and things. <3
ps. These Old Navy d’orsay pumps look like a million bucks and are super affordable (they do run big though, as a warning)!
