Skirt Week Day 3, and Tribal Skirt Part 2?! It’s your lucky day!

I shot three tribal skirt looks on one day, and I used my car as a “changing roon” and a giant beach tote to hold all the elements of each different look. Confession time: I was having an amazing hair day…and just couldn’t waste that on one outfit! So three it was.

I also have been meaning to show how remixable this skirt is and how wearable it is. It was great for date night, and by swapping out everything else, I built a completely new look that’s appropriate for the office.

Watch out next week for Look 3 with the tribal skirt, and expect to see more mixing and matching around these parts! And won’t you link up with us below for Skirt Week?

So, no better time than Skirt Week to bust out a skirt that you have never. ever. worn before!

Enter this paisley skirt that I couldn’t decide originally if I liked or not. Well, like most other pencil skirts from Target, it fit perfectly and wore me down, since it can be worn with SO MANY colors! I had to have it, and once I had it, then it just hung around, until the recent closet clean out. It got bumped to the front (aka to prompt me to wear it), and the rest is history!

Are any of you rocking an old skirt (or neglected one, like mine)!?

No, that was not a typo in the title of this post. This weekend bridged the gap between spring and summer for me, plus I did convince The Husband into having brunch this weekend, so I’ve coined a new word: sprummer. Definition: the time period where spring feels like summer and all you do is eat ice cream for lunch. Which is exactly what happened this weekend.

Other sprummer plans: bike rides, dog walks, dining al fresco, trips to the farmer’s market, etc. What are you planning on doing with your sprummer?!

ps. I bought this hat and this skirt this weekend…and had to wear them IMMEDIATELY! That’s how great they are.

pps. If you liked my polka dot crossbody from last week (which A LOT of you did), this one is almost identical (and $20)!

Happy Memorial Day to you all! I hope you’re wearing my favorite color combination (red, white, and blue of course), enjoying the day off (if you have it), and spending some time with family and friends. I’d also like to thank our past, present, and future military members for all that they do!

Now off to enjoy some grilling!

Can’t stop, won’t stop wearing skirts and dresses lately. I love the feel of the sun and light breeze on my legs after this dreadful-never-ending-filled-with-more-snow-than-you-can-imagine winter (that sums it up nicely, I think). I’m beyond done with tights, and I am definitely supporting my right to bear limbs.

Plus, hot air balloon blouse makes another appearance? You know you love it.
