Ten Things I’ve Loved This Past Week on The Internet:

  1. An adorable (and navy) anchor sweatshirt? Yes, please!
  2. Blogger love of the week: My dear friend Sarah is KILLING it lately. I’ve been pinning every one of her looks lately, but this floral maxi dress and ankle boots look is PERFECTION!  And it doesn’t hurt that her beautiful dress is from Target!
  3. These might be the cutest pair of heeled sandals I have seen. The pastel colors, the circle cutout straps, the block heel. Can they get any more unique and fun?! I think not…
  4. This is EXACTLY how I feel about off-the-shoulder, bare shoulder, peek-a-boo shoulder, cold-shoulder, and one shoulder tops (and seriously, stay away from my summer dresses). Move along, please. But that’s the best part about trends…sometimes you love them, sometimes you loathe them!
  5. I can’t remember if I already linked to it or not, but this circle bag from Madewell is the bag of my summer dreams.
  6. Gimme this navy plaid midi dress…it’s made for my closet!
  7. Be right back, buying this castle across the pond.
  8. Definitely do not need these gingham print flats, but definitely still want them! So cute!
  9. Did you guys hear the news that Jenna Lyons is leaving J.Crew? I can’t tell now whether or not that’s good news for the brand or not, but either way, it is definitely the end of an era. Man Repeller wrote a lovely tribute to her and all the ways she might have subtly changed up the fashion game!
  10. This eyelet collar sweater is GORGEOUS, affordable, and comes in 4 different colors. And yes, I want them all!

Trench Coat Season

trench coat + Target stripe tee + Michael Kors purse + Loft jeans; Style On Target; spring casual outfit

Today’s fun highlights:

  • This might be an old photo (full post here – prepping outfit photos before a winter vacation is not one of my strong suits), but it is exactly what I am actually wearing today! Hard to believe that it is trench weather here in Indiana during the month of February!
  • We had a wonderful vacation to Texas! The weather was picture perfect, all the food we ate was delicious, and we got to see all of the sites we wanted to see (more to come in future travel diary posts)!
  • The highlight of the trip for me was seeing Nicole from Writes Like a Girl! I loved her online personality and presence (not to mention her wonderful writing), and if possible, she is even better in person! She’s also responsible for 90% of the amazing food locations we visited. So lovely to meet you, Nicole…and if you or Dago ever find yourselves in Indy, let us know! <3
  • This weekend, we’re celebrating some birthdays over here (my mom and my grandma) and doing some major cleaning up. We were hoping to do some outdoor activities, because we kept hearing how great the weather was in Indiana while we were gone, but it apparently has a taken a turn for the colder since we came back. Major bummer, y’all!

Happy weekend, friends! What are you up to?

New Orleans Classics

IMG_01061IMG_01111IMG_01011IMG_41571nolacoffeeIMG_41751

Guys, I’m the worst style blogger ever. I took ONE (count it…one) set of outfit photos while I was on vacation…and these are it (taken with iPhones so the quality isn’t the best either)! #bloggerfail

However, there are a few pairings that are more classic than a trench coat, ballet flats, and stripes combination, but one such pairing might be New Orleans, Cafe du Monde, and beignets. Yum!

I was honestly looking forward to the food in New Orleans the most, and the city did not disappoint! Beignets, cafe au laits, plates of seafood etouffee, and bowls of gumbo (not to mention a hurricane drink or two ;)). Can’t wait to go back sometime in the future and enjoy them all again!

I’ll try to share some outfit pairings that I wore/would have photographed on the cruise/in Mexico tomorrow, along with some other vacation photos!

Fall Capsule #1: Target, Target, Target

DSC079951DSC079831DSC079931DSC079851DSC079871

This list + this list = my entire thoughts about Target. I found myself “yupping” the entire way through both of them. So I thought I’d share them with you all, my fellow addicts and friends.

Some special highlights?

“You’ve come up with things to purchase JUST to go to Target.”

“You always try to take more than six items into the dressing room and rarely ever succeed.”

“And you’ve been looking through the clothing section only to realize that you’re literally wearing all Target clothes.”

Whoopsies.

Today’s fun highlights:

  • Day Off Of Work!
  • Traveling to Grand Rapids tonight to attend my very first blogging event! So excited! I made blogging business cards, because I’m a nerd.
  • This sweater is the softest thing in the world. I never want to take it off.
  • These boots = perfection (Loft did not pay me to say that, but I wish they would!)
  • Still going strong on the no clothing/shoe shopping during the fall capsule challenge. However, I have definitely been slowly decreasing my bank account with some outerwear/accessory purchases. Loop holes, my friends!
  • 15 outfits down. 59 to go! I’m actually loving the challenge, and it hasn’t even been challenging yet!
Today’s not-so-fun highlights:
  • Missing The Husband and The Puppy this weekend!
  • Going through keepsake boxes at my parents’ home…sooo many great memories…so much stuff!

Happy weekend, friends! What are you up to?
