B’s Bachelorette Bash Dress

Guys, B is getting married this week!!!!! And if you couldn’t tell by my use of exclamation points, I am excited!!!

It’s about time that I get up the outfit I wore for her bachelorette party two weeks ago, since she’s soon to be a Mrs. Just a tribal fit and flare dress that I wore for my birthday party last year. I jazzed it up with a very detailed wide belt (see below for more great belts – the last one from Forever21 is my favorite!) and opted for some summer wedges for walking in downtown Indy.

We had mimosas (no way, right?!), went on a winery tour, sat on a patio that featured live music while 8 of us shared bottles of wine and blocks of cheese, boozed it up at several local bars (margaritas), and even convinced another friend (C) that she liked guacamole! A safe Uber ride back (seriously try this service if your city offers it) and a slumber party at B’s home was our endcap to the night! So fun and perfect company!

Ps. Spoiler alert, not to steal B’s thunder, but I’m also posting about my own wedding this week. Stay tuned on Tuesday and Thursday for those of you that have been waiting patiently!

Sweatshirt Skirt

Is there anything better than a bike on your shirt? #sorrynotsorry if you’re sick of seeing bike apparel on this blog. It’s up there with stripes, polka dots, and Colts blue for me, aka always a winner and always in style.

Even if said shirt is baby pink. Which it is…and I still bought it!

Pure commitment, friends!

Casual Tribal Skirt + Tribal Skirt Remix (3 Ways to Wear)

Last look with this fantastic tribal skirt, and this time I took it casual (perfect for a farmer’s market run, if you want to be loud and proud). I love how this skirt isn’t my basic pencil skirt look, not that there is anything wrong with that…this is just not a silhouette that I try every day.

Below you’ll find the three ways that I have worn this skirt. It’s beyond versatile and I haven’t even attempted mixing and matching all the colors in the skirt! If you missed looks 1 and 2, check them out here (business casual tribal look, date night tribal look). Which one is your favorite look?

Any other ideas on how to style it in the future? Let me know in the comments!

Skirt Week Day 3: Tribal Skirt, Part Deux

Skirt Week Day 3, and Tribal Skirt Part 2?! It’s your lucky day!

I shot three tribal skirt looks on one day, and I used my car as a “changing roon” and a giant beach tote to hold all the elements of each different look. Confession time: I was having an amazing hair day…and just couldn’t waste that on one outfit! So three it was.

I also have been meaning to show how remixable this skirt is and how wearable it is. It was great for date night, and by swapping out everything else, I built a completely new look that’s appropriate for the office.

Watch out next week for Look 3 with the tribal skirt, and expect to see more mixing and matching around these parts! And won’t you link up with us below for Skirt Week?

Can’t wait to keep seeing your looks!!

Date Night with a Tribal Skirt

Let’s talk about this skirt for a second (you don’t mind, right)? It’s thick (material that is), a little poof-y, a little funky, and just the right amount of leg showing for a date night. It’s also weirdly versatile (watch out for some more ways to style it during Skirt Week)!

Take this date night look: black fitted tee, my favorite minimal black crossbody bag, a red lip, and fun blue shoes. This look is one of the most simple ways to wear this skirt (white tee would also work well here) and still one of the classiest.

Bonus fun fact: these were actually my wedding shoes, and I thrifted them for $8!

ps. Reminder for Skirt Week Link Up next week! Get those ankles out ;)
