You didn’t think I would go long without featuring these pearl slide sandals in an outfit, right? You know I would leave you hanging like that!
So here they are, and while I think they look perfect with dresses (and skirts)…I think they might be even better at dressing up shorts. Just a touch of fancy with these pearl embellishments.
I just saw them at my local Target, so they should be dropping at your local store soon (if they aren’t there already). Or there’s always the Internet…
There is this thing called online shopping…have you heard of it!? ;)
Double the plaid, double the fun.
That’s the statement of the great PRINT of double-double print plaid!
Or something super cheesy like that! ;) But seriously, this plaid pair from J.Crew Factory was just begging to be put together! And I love how vintage this print looks, and I love it even more when you pair it with modern/trendy accessories!
ps. This post had been planned for a couple weeks, but it looks like Kelly (here) and I have great minds think alike (right down to the tassel earrings). Imaginary closet post meet real life outfit wearing!
Every year, it seems that a certain fruit really has its moment. Several years ago, it was pineapples. Last year, it was definitely lemon. And this year? This year, everything’s coming up
And no matter what way you slice it, the fruit makes for a particularly adorable print or accent piece (and great summer dessert). This look features three different watermelon pieces, and they all look cute together or on their own (the belt in particular would go great with a sundress)!
And when you’re wearing watermelon (versus devouring it) you don’t even have to worry about spitting out the seeds! Wahoo for watermelon!
This is an every-kind-of-day dream outfit for me, folks. Red, white, and blue, and a healthy mix of prints, textures, and trends.
The only thing that would make it better? A nice cold beer and some fireworks…I guess I’ll have that coming soon enough with this weekend and Fourth of July next Tuesday!
Or alternatively titled…what an off-duty art teacher might wear…hah!
This isn’t my typical color palette to don, but there’s something about the greens, yellows, and purples in this look that I’m really loving. Maybe it is because I was born in the land of Mardi Gras
Or maybe it’s because I had a brief stint in the art cabin at the summer camp that I worked out…before they determined that was NOT my expertise and sent me to the lake. ;)
