What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 171 – Definitely Not Dull

Yes, I built this whole post around these pants.

And no I’m not mad about it.

Because they’re more versatile than you might think (imagine them with a cream sweater or a white tee and jean jacket or a black blazer and on and on), and I can almost guarantee that you’ll never feel dull in them.

Definitely NOT dull.

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 170 – Classic Clothes, Trendy Accessories

Business in the front. Party in the….ears and on the feet!

(Don’t worry we won’t be talking mullets here today.)

Classics are forever, but trends are a heck of a lot of fun. I think a good outfit deserves a mix of both, and my favorite way to do it is to build a foundation with classics and add in the trends for a dash of fun!

So in this case, a button down shirt and a stripe shift dress anchor the look while beaded drop earrings and suede mules kick (pun intended) the look up a notch.  And bonus? Accessories and trendy shoes are a way more affordable way to change up your look than always rotating out your clothes for the latest fads.

Now what are you waiting for? Get trendy with it!

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 169 – Weekend Warrior

Ahhh, gotta love a good old stripe and polka dot print mixing. Because it’s almost as good as weekend.

Almost.

But seriously, isn’t this the perfect go-to weekend outfit? Name a weekend activity that this look wouldn’t be appropriate for…go on…I’ll wait.

Brunch? Duh. Grocery shopping? So perfect. Running errands with 3 kids screaming in the backseat? I can only imagine! But really – try as we style bloggers might – you can’t beat a good stripe tee + jeans + sneakers combo…especially when there is a puffer vest in the mix (our number one weakness)!

Ps. A great baseball hat can easily hide your dry-shampoo-covered-hair (or just proclaim it your brunch hat…like this bad boy here…too funny!).

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 168 – Beige and Blues

I was going to title this post French Navy, but then I didn’t want you all to get confused and think I was moving to France and joining their navy. Mainly because I don’t speak French, but also for several other reasons!

But I did love all the subtle French elements in this look: chic looking handbag, trench coat, and beret, along with a very classic color combo.

Plus, when you pair it with a croissant, you certainly can’t go wrong!

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 167 – Ladylike Frayed Denim

I love a good juxtaposition of ladylike style and distressing, so it was only natural for me to pair these cool girl frayed jeans (look away, Mom) with this classy embellished cardigan and pretty print blouse for today’s What I Wish I Wore outfit.

Because clearly the yin and yang of style…is frayed jeans and fancy cardigans. ;)
