Tulips are probably my number two favorite flowers (first being peonies…such a cliche, I know). I love the variety of colors that they come in and how pretty a big bunch of them look together (whether in a vase or in a flower bed).
Tassels are probably my number one favorite statement earrings.
So put them together and what do you got?
Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo…the most perfect spring outfit ever! Because there’s nothing cuter than a tiny set of tassel earrings waving hello from your ears.
Unless it is your significant other waving hello to you with a bundle of tulips in their hand! Hint, hint, husband! ;)
I have the exact same problem every single time I do one of these What I Wish I Wore Wednesday posts.
The problem is that I end up wanting EVERYTHING in them. Which is really only an issue because my wallet has limited funds and my closet has a finite amount of space. Two small hurdles, you know?!
Some might say that I should give them up and save myself the “agony,” to which I respond that I am not a quitter when it comes to this blog series…or online shopping! ;)
Fake dramatics aside, these pants are insanely gorgeous and that circle bag is oh.so.cute! That is all!
When you really want something to work…you try, try again. I had orignally ordered this J.Crew striped trench when it was on a decent sale. I liked it, but couldn’t really justify another tan spring jacket in my collection. So back it went.
But then it went in the clearance section. And then there was a super sale on the clearance items (40-freaking-percent off!). And guys, I can’t hate on a $75 well-made coat. So I ordered it again…and then put it into another outfit post.
Because I just can’t quit you, you beautiful striped trench coat from J.Crew. ;)
ps. How gorgeous is that plaid skirt? So pretty!
How long do you think I can do What I Wish I Wore posts with fruit patterned items?
I mean after last week’s post (here if you missed it), I’ve got at least a two-week streak going, so at least four weeks. Maybe even 10, since we’re heading into summer, aka the season of fruit prints!
As for this skirt and top combo? It’s the pineapple of my eye. Especially with all those colors! I kept it fairly neutral with the rest of the items, but there are at least eight different colors you could play off of in that skirt. The re-mixing possibilities are endless.
A regular mixed fruit salad skirt, you might say! ;)
I know if you’re a long-time reader, you’re SHOCKED that there is a pink apparel item on this blog, but trust me…aliens have not invaded this blog. Which is of course what an alien would say if they were writing this post and trying to trick you.
But would an alien tell you a dad-joke about strawberries? I think not. So here we go…
A bank was robbed this morning at gunpoint…They suspect it was a strobberry.
So now that you know it’s really me (#dadjokesforever), we can get back to this cute outfit I made you (and you pink-loving lovelies).
Because really, it’s much more peach-ish on the internet…so I can handle it. Plus, that little strawberry is tooooooo cute to pass up, and the rest of the items are true-Katie colors and styles, so it’ll work for this imaginary outfit post.
Plus, it’s berry good to shake it up every now and then, right? ;)
ps. Happy Anniversary to The Husband. Thanks for putting up with me as your wife for three whole years! You deserve at least three beers for that! ;) I love you berry much….okay I’ll see myself out now! ;)
