I sincerely promise that I am not trying to rub it in that I am on a tropic island somewhere, and actually could potentially be wearing this outfit right now. I actually pieced it together to see if I would like this color of shorts (I didn’t end up buying them), but I loved this imaginary outfit so much that I felt it deserved its own post.

So enjoy it with me, won’t you? I promise to send some good weather your way! :)

Oh hey. Want to know how this outfit inspiration got started? Stripes (blazer) and giraffes (wallet). Two items that I am lusting over from Target because they feature two of my favorite things. I saw this blazer recently on the lovely Kimmie from Blue Paper Lanterns, and love it. I’m surprised I haven’t bought it (or the giraffe wallet) already, but I’m probably headed there (aka Target.com) after hitting publish on this post (just kidding I have to go to work). A casual, but cool and polished outfit featuring two of my favorite things? Sold.

ps. Guaranteed that my mom does not approve of these pants. Sorry, Mom!

Again, completely different vibe from last week’s What I Wish I Wore (see all of them here) and featuring a coat that I’ve wanted since the first day that I saw it in Target.

The coat features my all time favorite pattern in one of my top two favorite color combinations. I think this coat could be dressed up and/or down, and I chose to dress it up in this week’s WIWIW. The dress is a classic shape, and the accessories give it a playful vibe with more pops of color. Pretty much exactly my normal style, just classed up a bit.

Pretty perfect for a rehearsal dinner outfit…if only I could convince The Fiance…

So totally different from last week’s What I Wish I Wore (see all of them here) and probably totally different from what I wear on a regular basis, but that’s why this segment of the blog exists.

It is casual and simple, but still pulled together completely. The pattern on the sweatshirt gives it some interest. The tears on the denim give it some texture (my mom is cringing at the thought of distressed denim, but I’m liking it more and more). The oh-so-luxurious bag and bracelets gives it a pop of color and some sparkle. And the moccasins, as always, tie everything together with the casual, classic feel.

You wouldn’t wear it to work, but you could certainly wear it out.

Just another pulled together office look for another WIWIW Wednesday. I’m such a huge fan of animal print clothing and lace tops that this was pretty much a no-brainer to put them both together. Top it off with a professional purse, some dangle earrings and a pair of fierce red kitten heels (meow!) and you have yourself a look that is appropriate for almost any office.

Unless you can’t wear animal print…in that case, I don’t want to work there!
