What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 166 – Orange You Glad For Stripes

Last week was all about the polka dots (see the post here if you missed it!), and this week is all about my other favorite pattern….STRIPES!

It’s too cold here in Indiana to go tightless, but just you wait…this will make a great spring outfit post! And I can’t get over this perfect stripe sweater, this chic black trench coat, a blast of color in this red-orange skirt, and the fact that this gold disc/coin necklace looks like it belongs in Madewell…not Target.

Which means I can just sneak it into my cart the next time I’m shopping for household essentials there.

Just don’t tell my husband. ;)

Because you just can’t beat a good pair of polka dot pants.

And you shouldn’t even try! ;)

It’s sweater weather here, folks.

So grab your cardis, grab your cable knits, and grab your cashmere. It’s about to get frigid.

And you can’t avoid the cold at work (especially at my work), because some days it’s almost as cold inside as it is outside. And you know what’s not super duper professional?

Desk blankets (but I STILL do it)…and saying the phrase super duper.

But what is professional? Styling a sweater with the right accessories for the workplace to stay warm and still look sharp. You can work the outfit above or this one that I rocked recently (here), but whatever you do, don’t let your elite customer catch you in a desk blanket. You might never hear the end of it! ;)

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 163 – Green “Fur” Tree

Still looking for a festive work appropriate outfit to wear this week for the last few days before our mini Christmas break?

Well furrrrr-get about it…I’ve got you covered! ;)

A little Christmas color combo, plus a touch of cozy, luxurious (faux) fur, makes for a very festive outfit that is also work friendly!

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 162 – Festive!

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 162 - Festive! holiday look | Style On Target blog

It’s that magical time of year where it seems that every single event on the calendar requires a new dress. Office holiday parties, winter weddings, holiday shows (The Nutcracker, anyone?), and New Year celebrations.

Who can afford to keep up with all that…not this girl!

So in today’s post, I’m showcasing a way to look festive and fantastic for all those kinds of events…and yes, it boils down to one single Little Black Dress! Make it festive and holiday-specific with touches of red and extra sparkly embellishments, and you’ll be ready to hop from holiday event to holiday event!
