What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 161 – Wilderness Chic

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 161 - Wilderness Chic | Style On Target blog

Wildness chic is a thing that I’m pretty sure I just made up…specifically so that I could have a title for this post. Selfish, I know.

But IF it was a real thing, this would be my translation of it. Cozy cabin layers, earthy neutral colors, and practical, sturdy shoes. Even though I’m pretty sure you couldn’t outrun a mountain lion or a bear in these…and I haven’t tried.

So maybe just wear it for cooking s’mores outside in Mother Nature while remaining within eyesight of your cabin and modern day advancements…like running water! ;)

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 160 – Gold and Gingham

Gold and gingham. Two of my favorite “G” words, all rolled up into today’s look. Because this is one outfit that I wish I could wear alllllll the time, and you could easily switch out the color combinations or the shoes for a more casual look (Chelsea-style ankle boot, anyone?).

Other “G” words that I happen to also love, but couldn’t combine in an outfit post, include my maiden name, goldfish (the crackers, not the actual fish), gelato, goat cheese, guacamole, and grandparents (mine read this blog!).

So nearly all food? Story of my life. ;)

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 159 – Ice, Ice Baby

Alright stop / Collaborate and listen / Ice is back with my brand new invention

I finally know what Vanilla Ice was talking about when he raps this song…

Ice blue sweaters.

I know, I know. It’s taken me some time, but I’m making up for the delay by pulling together this outfit with the best ice ice baby blue sweater that I can find. It’s the perfect piece to have while you’re bundling up as the temperatures drop or maybe while someone checks out the hook while my DJ revolves it?

But I still don’t know what he’s referring to when he says “Magnetized by the mic while I kick my juice.” Can anyone help a girl out? ;)

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 158 – Navy and Tan, Tan and Navy

Navy and tan, tan and navy. It’s the best yin and yang combination you can get.

Because who needs black and white when you can have rich browns and cool blue?

Not this girl.

ps. That jacket! Insert all the emoji heart eyes here!

What I Wish I Wore, Vol. 157 – Trench Coat Trendy

One item that will probably never ever ever go out of style?

Trench coats.

Mainly because the design itself is over 100 years old. And because we have Britains to thank for it…and they know a thing or two about long lasting empires things. ;)

I did see a ton of trench coats in Europe, and it inspired me to pull my own out and wear it more, but in the meantime, you get this look in this week’s WIWIW post.

Because while block heels and statement necklaces may come and go, trench coats will always be there for you! ;)

Ps. Want more fun facts about the history of trench coats? Check out this article from the Smithsonian…pretty interesting stuff!
